Perhaps you had given up hope that you would ever receive another fabulous cocktail recipe from ThirstyGals Corner. Fear not, I have returned! It wasn’t that I had stopped trying to create interesting and delicious beverages (or that I had stopped drinking- perish the thought!). I tried- I really tried- to come up with some new drink ideas over the last few months. But everything I created either wasn’t tasty enough to share or was too similar to many of my previous cocktails
So today I have for you a refreshing cocktail that I hope you will really enjoy. It’s not overly sweet or overly strong, and it’s light and refreshing for summer. Which is definitely what we folks baking on the East Coast could really use right now. And it’s just in time to celebrate the 4th of July- bonus!
The Cherry Lime-Tini is made with tart cherry juice, which doesn’t have that cloyingly sweet taste of many other fruit juices. Fresh lime juice is best, but if you only have sour mix, use about an ounce.
2-3 ounces tart cherry juice (I used cheribundi)
Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a cherry and/or lime if you are so inclined.
It’s up to you to find something white and blue to add to this deep red drink- show your patriotic colors this 4th of July!
This drink sounds great to me! I need to get some triple sec and make myself one, or two this week! Thanks!
I hope you like it, Georgia, and that it puts you in a patriotic mood!!
