Citrus Cranberry Fizz

The 2016 Thanksgiving Day feast is in the books, but that doesn’t mean we’re done overindulging. There are lots of leftovers in the fridge and (perhaps) a few bottles of liquor left in the cabinet. So since I wasn’t able to post an appropriate cocktail in time for Thanksgiving Day, I’m here today to help you enjoy the rest of your weekend with a delightful new cocktail- the Citrus Cranberry Fizz. It’s got it all for this holiday- tangy lemon and lime, bubbly champagne, and of course, cranberries! Well, cranberry juice, which makes this drink an official Thanksgiving weekend libation. It’s also nice and light and will compliment whatever recipes you may create with that leftover turkey or sweet potatoes. Here’s the recipe-

Citrus Cranberry Fizz

1 ounce berry or pomegranate vodka (I used Esme Wild Blackberry, but Three Olives pomegranate is also an excellent choice)
2 ounces Deep Eddy’s lemon vodka
Juice of one lime (fresh is best)
2-3 ounces cranberry juice
Prosecco or your champagne of choice

Fill a tall rocks glass with ice, then pour in the first four ingredients. Top with 2-3 ounces of champagne and enjoy!

The same goes for substitution of bottled lime juice for fresh squeezed lime. Even the grocery stores will probably be mobbed with shoppers today, so it’s up to you. If you’re going to have a couple of these cocktails and you don’t want to miss out on Black Friday deals, online shopping is a wonderful (and safer) option.
